Aberlour is located in the heart of Scotland’s larder. Walkers Shortbread is Aberlour’s most famous local food producer, baking in the village for over a century. Their finest all-butter shortbread and delicious biscuits, in unmistakable red tartan packaging, are served all around the world. The full range of products can be found in the Walkers shop in Aberlour or at the factory shop on the edge of the village.
A fantastic range of cheeses, cold meats, wines and spirits are available from the Spey Larder. This delicatessen is located in what used to be Alfie MacIntyre’s General Merchant’s Store, in the village Square.
David Brown Butchers supplies locally sourced meats, including haggis which is hurled annually by overseas visitors in the Aberlour and Strathspey Highland Games. (It can be put to much better use served with a whisky cream sauce!)
